TERRACYCLE ACQUIRES VELOGENESIS SEAT CLAMP PRODUCT LINE
December 2, 2011
TerraCycle, of Portland, Oregon, and Velogenesis, two long time companies in the design and manufacture of accessories for recumbent bicycles, have announced that TerraCycle will acquire the Velogenesis Seat Strut Clamp product line from Velogenesis and expand its successful line of very handy clamp products.
The sale is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
“As sales have grown over the years, the demands of the clamp business require increasing time and resources,” said Velogeneis President Ray Brick. “It is a good time for another company to take the Strut Clamp product line to the next level of distribution and service.” Ray feels that is time for him to retire and will be phasing Velogenesis out of business over the next few months.
TerraCycle is a good choice to be that company, said TerraCycle president Pat Franz, because the Velogenesis developed Seat Strut Clamps are a natural complement to TerraCycle’s idlers, racks, fairings, and accessory mounts.
“We plan to expand the strut clamp product line into related clamping needs. With our in house CNC capabilities, we are looking at a couple new ideas”, says Franz.
Effective immediately, orders for Velogenesis Seat Strut Clamps will be filled in Oregon by TerraCycle. Seat Strut Clamps can be ordered online through the TerraCycle website, www.terracycle.com, or through any TerraCycle dealer.
